A good weekly schedule protects rest time and keeps expectations clear on both sides.

## Daily rhythm
Agree start and end times in writing, with a midday break. Live-in arrangements need
explicit off-duty hours — presence at home is not the same as being on duty.

## One full day off
Plan for at least one full rest day per week. Put it in the written agreement so cover
can be arranged in advance.

## Task list, not task creep
List the actual duties (childcare ages, cooking, laundry, cleaning zones) and review the
list monthly. New duties mean a new conversation — and where appropriate, new pay.
